FAMILY DENTISTRY Okay, think of it this way. Years ago, people  would make jokes about how terrible dentistry was when they were a kid. And as I dentist, I’ve heard them all. Lots of jokes, and a few hair-rising stories about dentistry 50 years ago. Good news folks! Those days are gone!!
Most of the children and youth and most of the young adults  have never had a bad experience in the dentist office. Not only should it not be uncomfortable, or scary, it should be fun!! I’m not kidding. Most of the children in our practice like coming and getting their teeth cleaned, ride in the chair, play with the water gun. Plus, the toothpaste and fluoride all taste good, and many children have a whole lot less cavities than they used to, a generation ago. Young children should watch the older children while they visit the hygienist, and sometimes brother and sister are next door to each other, each waiting to find out who has the best check-up.
